At European Design we focus on offering distinctive, high end fine furnishings that offer a unique style. We bring you products inspired by French periods such as Louis XV, Louis XVI, Napoleonic Periods and significant artisans such as Francois Linke and alike. Our styles include Mediterranean, European, Far Eastern, and Rustic Casual designs.

Whether you want to accentuate or compliment your beautiful room or furnish an entire home, we have a special something in mind just for you. The furniture we show on our site is subject to fluctuations in availability. Some of our furniture collection pieces are custom made in the USA when you order, and have specified delivery times listed on the product page. Other pieces which are imported from overseas are subject to availability fluctuations. Due to this, there are times when a certain piece is out of stock and/ or in transit to the warehouse. If a piece is in stock, delivery times are typically within 2-5 weeks.. We can usually provide an estimate of when out-of-stock items will be available. This is an estimate only -- occasional delays can occur which are beyond our control. Please email us before you purchase if you have questions regarding availability. We carry thousands of items in our store and stock changes daily.

Upon placing an order for a furniture piece, your transaction will be processed in one of several ways:

In Stock Item

We require payment via EFT or Credit Card via our telephone sales staff. We do not provide COD or payment on collection.

Special Order or Custom Item

We will take a 50% non-refundable deposit upon ordering, the remaining balance to be paid 48 hours prior to shipment.

Back-ordered Item

In order to place your order in line for the next available piece with the manufacturer, we may charge you a 50% deposit upon ordering. The remaining balance would be billed just prior to shipment. If you decide to cancel your order at any time, manufacturer restocking fees may apply and would be deducted from your deposit.

Colour variations & product images

We know how hard it is to shop from an online image. Wherever possible, we have included links to large high-resolution photographs of our products. They may take a few seconds to load, but you will see the quality of the items we sell. To utilise this feature, maximise the browser window that pops up when enlarging a product image.

We make every effort to provide accurate pictures of our products, but computer monitor settings and lighting affect the images that are displayed. We cannot guarantee that the image displayed on your monitor will precisely match the colour of the actual product. If you have questions about the colour of a product, please contact us prior to placing your order. If there are any questions-please request fabric or wood samples. (these are available on some items) Returns due to colour are subject to our standard return policy -- shipping charges will not be refunded.

The majority of our products are designed and manufactured as antique reproductions and are made of solid wood constructions. Using traditional construction techniques, including pegged mortise and tendon joints, dovetailing, parquetry and hand carving. As a standard we never use MDF, Chip or Particle Board. We offer a more high quality furniture at affordable prices. Each piece is carefully finished to create the patina of fine antiques with fittings appropriate to its style and period. Primary wood species include Mahogany, Oak and Birch. Some of our finishes maintain a certain distressed and antiquated look. As such, slight variations in dimension or finish can be expected. Solid wood furniture is affected by humidity and atmospheric pressures, so it continually responds to its environment.

We also accept Money Orders and Cheques. All cheques require four days clearance before goods are shipped unless otherwise pre-approved. Special orders are charged half-down with the balance due upon shipment.
